They’re heeere! Spotted Lantern Flies

Spotted Lantern Flies are extremely invasive and destructive insects who breed on the Tree of Heaven (those weedy trees that pop up everywhere and stink when you pull them up). They destroy fruit trees, gardens, hardwoods, and over 70 other types of plants. Currently, the two nymph stages of the fly (shown on the top row) are in Mountain View Neighborhood in large numbers. We at MVNA do not condone violence, but if you see one of these, smash or swat them. You will be doing the neighborhood a service.
